When should I service my vehicle?
Did you know the service schedules recommended by your vehicles manufacturer are actually maximum service intervals?
Short trips (less than 15-20km), stop/start traffic, extreme hot or cold weather and towing or carrying heavy loads are all examples of "severe driving conditions".
Under these circumstances, engine oils should be changed more frequently than the manufacturer handbook suggests. Typically, servicing should be every 5000km or 3 months, whichever comes first.
Remember: Engine oils get stale and lose their effectiveness over time. Even if you haven't travelled many kilometres, oil should still be replaced every few months to keep your engine properly protected!
Logbook servicing

How often do you think about your tyres?
